Don’t forget about this Wednesday’s meeting in room 350 of the SLC.  This week, Secretary of State candidate Gail Buckner will be joining us.  The State Senate candidate for District 47, Mac Rawson, will also be speaking to us.  Food will also be provided.

We’ll also be collecting membership dues and selling tee shirts.  If you haven’t picked up a shirt yet, be sure to come to this week’s meeting!

Barring more rain, the Activities Fair will take place on Wednesday as well.  Be sure to look for our table and sign (really, you can’t miss this sign) somewhere near the Tate Center.  Even if you didn’t sign up to actually work at the table, we’d still love for you to stop by at some point during the day just to say hey.

Finally, if you are looking to get involved with one of the local campaigns, please email me at nrsolari@uga.edu.  If you’re at all concerned about certain issues, the future of Athens, retaking the state House and Senate, etc., you should absolutely consider helping out with one of the many races we highlight at each meeting.  There are Young Dems at a few offices already, but we’d love to see more of you out there.  You can volunteer at your convenience for just a couple of hours a week, and don’t worry, you won’t be tackling any jobs alone.  So don’t be shy.  Just let either myself or Ashley know you’d like to help out, and we’ll find a place that best suits your interests and strengths.  It’s that easy.
